Delicate gyoza ... have had Tonkotsu Blk Garlic; Vegetarian during Lent ... wanted Cold Ramen Salad this warn Summer nite: N/A; had the utmost excellent Tsukemen: all ingredients were so good; broth was exceptional! So glad they were open till Midnite on Weekends: crowded ... well-worth it!!

The attention to detail in service is refreshing. The Shoyu ramen is my favorite here. The gyoza and fried rice are tasty. The roulette gyoza is way spicy, only for the hardcore. Def recommend coming here.

Shop makes you feel like you're back in Japan. Server was attentive and service was fast. Ramen and gyoza was delicious. Believe the lady when she says the Russian roulette gyoza is spicy BUT it was still tasty!

My favorite ramen spot in all of LA! Been going here for years now, and have tried many ramen restaurants all over LA. Umenoya is still undefeated as my #1 choice! The broth is so rich and flavorful, the Chasu is thick cut and cooked perfectly, with egg and added toppings pairing perfectly with my go to, the Tonkatsu Chasu Ramen with Level 2 spicy. They have 3 tiers of spicy, and 3 will for sure hit you. I love spicy food, so level 2 is enough kick for me to enjoy the flavor of the ramen and feel the burn from the spice. The corn is refreshing with each bite of ramen, and the noodles are cooked perfectly, slightly al dente which I prefer with ramen. They have a gyoza roulette which is a lot of fun, with one dumpling being extremely spicy. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has an authentic Japanese feel, with bar, table, and booth seating available. A must try if you love ramen!

This is the best ramen I have ever had. Hands down ! The gyozas and everything The staff is so awesome!! It's a cute whole in the wall and the atmosphere is awesome.

Updating my review, I still love this place to this day!! I will always get the Spicy Miso Chashu Ramen with extra egg, Gyozas as a delicious appetizer as well. Service is great, although it's busy it's still good service. Everything about this place is just cozy, especially after a rainy day. I will always love coming here. :)

this place was great! have no idea why there are so many negative reviews. this was my first time coming here and coincidentally i went in as soon as it opened. about ten minutes later the place was packed and almost all the seats were taken. i ordered the spicy miso ramen and my sister got the miso ramen. the lady who took our order was very sweet and she was the best! our food was delicious! the only thing i would have enjoyed would've been for the soup to be a bit spicier, but maybe that's just because i love spicy foods. the place is in a small plaza and the inside is just enough to fit around 15 or so people. great food & great service!

Best chashu ramen since I can remember. I get the spicy miso ramen every time I come here and the food consistently delivers. The broth is the right balance of fat and salt. The egg is always poached perfectly. The egg noodles always taste fresh. And the chashu is the softest and melts in my mouth. Unlike most ramen shops, I look forward to the protein here. It's not stale and refrigerated.
